This website is owned and operated by Urban Cord Crafts (“we”, “us”, “our”).

These Terms and Conditions set out the terms under which you may use our website and purchase products from us. This website offers visitors handmade paracord gear and accessories, including everyday carry, working gear, and custom items.

By accessing or using this website, placing an order, or purchasing products from us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK law.

2. Who Can Use the Website

In order to use this website and/or purchase products from us, you must:

3. Key Commercial Terms Offered to Customers

When purchasing an item from Urban Cord Crafts, you agree that:

  1. You are responsible for reading the full product description before committing to purchase.

  2. You enter into a legally binding contract to purchase an item once you complete the checkout and payment process.

  3. All prices for products are displayed on the website in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.

  4. We reserve the right to change product prices at any time and to correct pricing errors that may occur inadvertently.

  5. Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown separately at checkout.

  6. Urban Cord Crafts is not VAT registered; therefore, VAT is not charged.

4. Return and Refund Policy

  • 4.1 Change of Mind (Non-Custom Items)

  • Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order for non-custom items within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

  • To qualify for a refund:

  • Items must be unused and returned in original condition

  • Items must be returned within 14 days of cancellation

    • You are responsible for return shipping costs

  • 4.2 Excluded Items

  • The following items are not eligible for change-of-mind returns:

  • Custom or personalised products

  • Items made to your specifications

  • Gift cards

This does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty or not as described.

  • 4.3 Faulty Goods

  • If goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described, your rights are protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You may be entitled to repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund depending on the circumstances.

5. Retention of Right to Change Offering

We may, without prior notice:

  • Modify or discontinue products or services

  • Limit quantities available for purchase

  • Temporarily or permanently suspend access to parts of the website

We will not be liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the website or services, except where required by law.

6. Warranties & Responsibility for Products

6.1 All products sold by Urban Cord Crafts must be:

  • As described

  • Of satisfactory quality

  • Fit for purpose

6.2 If a valid fault is identified, we will:

  • Repair the item; or

  • Replace the item; or

  • Provide a refund where repair or replacement is not possible within a reasonable time.

6.3 Customers are responsible for returning faulty items unless otherwise agreed. We will cover the cost of re-delivery of repaired or replaced items.

6.4 Products are not designed, rated, or certified for climbing, abseiling, parachuting, load-bearing, or life-support use. Use outside intended purposes is at the customer’s own risk.

7. Material Returns Programme

7.1 Programme Overview

The Material Returns Programme is a voluntary sustainability initiative operated by Urban Cord Crafts. The programme allows customers to return eligible paracord products for assessment, with the potential issuance of a money-off coupon based solely on the amount of reusable material recovered.

Participation in the programme does not create a contractual entitlement to any refund, discount, replacement, or repair.

​

7.2 Eligibility & Returns

Returned items submitted under the Material Returns Programme must be:

  • Clean

  • Structurally sound

  • Free from contamination

Returned materials are subject to inspection on arrival. Acceptance is based solely on material condition and suitability for reuse.

Urban Cord Crafts reserves the right to reject any returned materials that do not meet programme standards.

​

7.3 Inspection & Acceptance

All returned materials are inspected at our discretion.

  • Partial acceptance may result in a reduced coupon value

  • Materials may be declined entirely if they do not meet reuse standards

  • All inspection and acceptance decisions are final

7.4 Coupon Issuance & Use

Where accepted materials qualify, a money-off coupon may be issued as a goodwill incentive.

Any coupon issued under this programme:

  • Has no cash value

  • Is non-transferable

  • Cannot be exchanged or refunded

  • Must be used within the stated validity period

  • Cannot be used in conjunction with other discount codes

  • May be subject to product or category exclusions

Coupons are issued only after inspection is completed and do not constitute compensation. They are a reward at the desecration of Urban Cord Crafts.

7.5 Shipping Responsibility

Customers are responsible for all costs associated with returning items under the Material Returns Programme, including return shipping and any applicable customs charges.

Urban Cord Crafts is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

​

7.6 No Repair, Replacement, or Warranty Extension

The Material Returns Programme:

  • Is not a repair service

  • Is not a refurbishment or rebuild programme

  • Does not provide replacement products

  • Does not extend or replace any warranty

Participation in the programme does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

7.7 Programme Limits

Urban Cord Crafts may apply reasonable limits to participation in the Material Returns Programme, including limits on the number of returns accepted per customer within a defined period.

7.8 Programme Changes

Urban Cord Crafts reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the Material Returns Programme at any time.

Any changes will not affect coupons already issued and still valid at the time of change.

8. Ownership of Intellectual Property, Copyrights, and Logos

All content on this website — including text, images, graphics, logos, designs, product descriptions, and branding — is the exclusive property of Urban Cord Crafts or its licensors.

Nothing in these Terms grants you a licence to use any intellectual property without prior written consent. You agree not to copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit any content from this website.

9. Right to Suspend or Cancel User Access

We may suspend or terminate access to this website without notice if:

  • You misuse the website

  • You engage in unlawful or harmful activity

10. Indemnification
